Organizationsareclearlyseeingthesebenefits,andaremovingtowardsgreaterintegration.57percentofcompaniesintheUSAhadsomeformofintegratedsupplychainmanagement.Mostoftheinte-grationconsistedoftransport,warehousingandinventory,withfewerorganizationsincludingfunctionssuchasproductionplanning,procurementorsalesorderprocessing.Significantly,morethan90percentofcompaniesexpectedanincreaseinintegrationoverthenextthreeyears,withaquarterofcom-paniesmovingto"fullyintegrated"systems.Only2percentofcompanieshadcurrentlyestablishedECRfunctions,butthisisforecasttoincreaseto37percentoverthenextthreeyears.
